Reduce, Reuse & Recycle where you Live, Work & Play!

Every year, 140,000 tons of waste material is generated by residents and businesses in Antioch. Under state law, the City of Antioch must divert 50% of that material from landfills. Currently the residents and businesses are diverting 45% through recycling, reuse and waste prevention programs and activities. We are almost there, but we need your help! Please do your part by taking advantage of the programs below to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Rot!

Now it is even easier to recycle with the NEW Residential Recycling Cart collection!
No more heavy lifting required! No more separating your paper from your plastics! All recyclables can now go in the brown recycling cart and be easily wheeled out to the curb for collection.

Residents will be receiving new 64 gallon recycling carts October 24- November 5. The new collection program begins officially on November 1st, but you can start using your recycling cart as soon as it is delivered. In order to encourage recycling and waste prevention, the City has restructured the garbage rates. To take advantage of the new savings by downsizing your garbage cart, call Allied Waste at (925) 685-4711 or visit their website at Allied Waste.
