Reporting Weeds and Other Overgrown Vegetation

Recently, the City Council amended the Antioch Municipal Code adopting the State and County Fire Code. This action allows the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District to perform weed abatement and other fire hazard abatement in the City of Antioch.

CCCFPD has already done a mass mailing to Antioch, Pittsburg and Bay Point. Compliance shall be met by May 21st, and that is when CCCFPD will start their inspections.

After May 21st, residents can call the CCCFPD Weed Abatement Hotline at 941-3324 or go to the website at www.cccfpd.org and look in the Exterior Hazards section and download a complaint form, fill it out and either mail or fax it to CCCFPD.

This is the only reporting mechanism for weeds and overgrown vegetation in the city.

In regards to City owned property, the Public Works Department has already begun working on the fire breaks just as we have in the years past.

Full service counter hours are:
8:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.

During this time all services are available to customers and a Building Inspector, Planner, Engineer, or Code Enforcement Officer will be available to assist you.

We are closed for lunch from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m.

Staff is available to assist customers by appointment only between the hours of 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. City Hall is closed every Friday.
