| A. | Your meter is read monthly. We strive to read your meter as close to every 30 days as possible. However, due to holidays and weekends, your meter could be read a few days earlier or later. |

| A. | The ‘months’ referred to on your reduction letter and regular billing corresponds to the date the billing cycle closed in. |

| A. | If Antioch Water as a whole exceeds our historical average, we will have to purchase water at 4 times the regular rate. If that happens, we will have to pass that cost on to those that exceed their goal. Those that use more than 20 units and exceed their consumption goal will pay 4x the current unit charge for those units consumed over their goal. |

| A. | Last year we were already asking customers to voluntarily conserve water as California was already it our second year of below average rainfall. We did not want to penalize those who cut back in 2008 by using that consumption to calculate the goals. |

| A. | 20 units works out to a little more than 500 gallons per day. That amount of water should adequately provide all the indoor water needs for a family and allow for the irrigation, if done efficiently. |
