Commercial Cannabis Public Process

prop 64 pass

The City Council is in the process of developing a Permanent Commercial Cannabis Ordinance. On November 1, 2017, the City Council extended the moratorium it had previously enacted in late 2016 to all commercial cannabis land uses. The ordinance was extended for nine months.

During this final extension period for the moratorium, staff promptly began the process for enacting a permanent, regulatory ordinance for such uses with regular progress updates every other month at council meetings.
