Code Enforcement Division with the City of Antioch

Please note that staffing levels have been drastically reduced and as a result the range of complaints we can respond to is exceedingly limited.  At this time, only those situations that pose an immediate threat to life or safety are being investigated.

There are several other resources available to assist you:

WEEDS/FIRE HAZARDS
All complaints regarding overgrown weeds or vegetation that may pose a fire hazard need to be reported to the Contra Costa County Fire District.  The number to report these hazards to is 925-941-3324 or you can reach their website at www.cccfpd.org.  The Fire District is the only investigating agency for these complaints in the City of Antioch.

MOSQUITOES
Contra Costa Vector Control District has programs and services available for yellow jackets, Africanized honey bees, ticks, rats, mice, skunks, and mosquitoes.  They are the agency to contact if you are reporting a pool or body of water that you believe may be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.  They can be reached at 925-771-6196.  The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District is the only investigating agency for these complaints in the City of Antioch.

ABANDONED CARS ON THE STREET
The Antioch Police Department investigates all parking violations and abandoned vehicles on the city streets.  The number to make this report is 925-779-6981.

LACK OF GARBAGE SERVICE
If you suspect that a residence or business does not subscribe to garbage service or you are reporting illegal dumping in a city right of way, please call Allied Waste at 925-685-4711.

LIENS

  • If you are inquiring about a demand on a lien, please fax the demand request to 925-779-7034.  Demand requests will only be processed by fax.  The demand will be prepared and faxed back within one week.

VACANT PROPERTIE REGISTRATION

  • The City of Antioch does not have a vacant property registration program.  If you are a realtor or representative of a vacant property we urge you to do regular checks of the property and maintain it as if it were lived in.

We hope that these referrals will be beneficial to you and remind you before leaving a message that our staffing levels have been drastically reduced and as a result the range of complaints we can respond to is exceedingly limited.  At this time, only those situations that pose an immediate threat to life or safety are being investigated by this division.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
