The Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District has free programs and services available for mosquitoes, yellow jackets, Africanized honey bees, ticks, rats, mice and skunks.  CCMVCD is the agency to contact if you are reporting a neglected swimming pool or body of water that you believe may be a breeding ground for mosquitoes, and CCMVCD accepts anonymous calls.

All reports of overgrown weeds or vegetation that may pose a fire hazard should be directed to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. The CCCFPD is the only investigating agency in Antioch that responds to these types of complaints during “fire season”, which begins on or around May 21 each year.
