Effective August 13, 2012, new tenants to a property or a realtor/listing agent representing a property will have to complete a water service application. This application requires the owner to certify that the tenant has a right to residency or that the realtor/listing agent is authorized to establish water service. A copy of the signed lease agreement and/or listing agreement will also need to be provided and if the owner cannot appear in person with the tenant then the form will have to have a notarized signature of the owner of the property. In addition, we will still be requiring valid picture identification, a deposit and all previous balances (if any) must be paid in full. Establishment of water may be delayed if staff needs to complete additional verification of documents.
