Crime Maps, Statistics & Calls for Service

Disclaimers

  • The Antioch Police Department crime maps and calls for service report provide public access to timely information for our community.
  • The symbols identifying crime approximate the locations where reported incidents occurred.
The Crime Maps are updated monthly.
  • The State of California requires that official statistical crime reporting comply with the Uniform Crime Reporting (U.C.R.) standards established by the U.S. Department of Justice. These standards exist to allow consistent reporting of criminal activity among the varied laws of the 50 states. The Crime Maps statistics, however, are derived directly from raw Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System (CAD/RMS) data and may not fully comply with U.C.R. guidelines. Despite the potential for discrepancies between U.C.R. statistics and raw CAD/RMS data, the raw data is used here because it generally provides a more timely and detailed view of crime in the city.
  • Calls for Service are all calls dispatched by our Communications Center. There are some types of calls that are protected for confidentially reasons, such as sex crimes and medical calls. This report will not display protected call information. This is designed to protect the identity of the individual.
  • The Calls for Service are updated weekly.
  • As of March 25, 2009, traffic stops, suspicious vehicle stops, and suspicious person stops are included in Calls for Service.
  • The Arrest Report contains data for adults who have been arrested or cited.  Some individuals may not be included if it is determined that disclosure might endanger the safety of a person involved in an investigation or endanger the successful completion of an investigation in accordance with 6254 (f) of the California Government Code.  Also, names of juveniles who have been arrested or cited are protected under State law, including, but not limited to 827.9 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code and as such, will not be included.
  • The Adult Arrest Report is updated weekly.
