Police Activities League (PAL)

Mission Statement

To provide positive activities for youth in our community through dedicated individuals who will mentor and lead by example.

The Antioch Police Department is proud to announce the creation of an Antioch Police Activities League (PAL). This organization is in its initial phase and we are looking for parent, business and organization support. If you want to help our youth and find constructive activities they can participate in think about volunteering for Antioch PAL.

Antioch PAL is initially focusing on middle school aged children and PAL hopes to encourage a positive experience with adult mentors and the Antioch Police Department. PAL is working in conjunction with the Antioch Unified School District to find children who are interested in participating in PAL sponsored events.

In the future, Antioch PAL hopes to expand to include high school aged teens and offer them positive outlets via the PAL program.

To become a volunteer for the PAL program please complete a volunteer application, interest form, and information sheet. A signed Authorization for Release of Information is also needed to begin the process.

In October of 2006 the Antioch Police Activities League (PAL) working in partnership with the Antioch Unified School District, took 55 PAL participants to an Oakland Raiders football game. The participants represented the four public middle schools in the City of Antioch.

The trip began from the front lot of the Antioch Police Department where each participant was given a PAL T-shirt. A short time later we all boarded the two charter buses and began our trip to Oakland.

Upon our arrival to the Coliseum, PAL participants enjoyed a hosted lunch which consisted of hot dogs, sodas, chips, and candy. To work off some of that good food, we threw the football around for a short time before entering the game.

The Antioch PAL brought luck to the Oakland Raiders as they played and beat the Arizona Cardinals!!!!! The PAL participants fully enjoyed the game as well as buying souvenirs and additional snacks inside the park.

After the game, we boarded our buses and depending on your bus, you watched the movie “Remember the Titans” or “Forest Gump”…..both movies with a positive message.

All PAL participants enjoyed the movie with some additional food and drink as we made our way back to Antioch. 

It was a great event for all!!!!
